Home Shop Machinist magazine is targeted at the hobbyist metal worker: lathe, mill, etc. It is limited in scope, and because of that, has superior focus: the magazine has been in publication for many years, and they do it right!
If you enjoy machining, or would like to enjoy it more, this magazine is for you! Projects, tips, and more for human-controlled machine tools (with a sprinkling of articles on small & DIY CNC & tool conversions to CNC), this is THE benchmark for machining hobbyists. Only downside is the subscription cost: due to the naturally limited number of subscribers, the circulation levels are low so most of the cost of production must be borne by the subscribers rather than the advertisers, but it's a small price to pay for excellence!
